What was once a favor to a friend of Zofkie's Painting quickly turned into a tremendous opportunity. A local sales rep of a window company asked if we knew how to stain windows in an existing home, and having so many years perfecting that skill in new home construction we said yes. When finished with the project in such a short amount of time and to such a level of perfection, it was all the rave. To us it was just another job until one call, then two calls, then the phone blew up with customers asking if we could stain their windows. Are you really going to trust just anyone to stain your new windows and doors? When you invest as much money as you did with your new windows and doors for your home, understand one thing. This is NOT and average job that anyone can do. We are not saying it is rocket science, but you should not have someone "learning" on your windows. After years of perfecting this craft and training crews to do this work, we have found that although many say they can do this work, few do it right. Windows are made with different species of wood that are much hardier and tougher than in the past which requires all new techniques to get your wood to not only look good but match older wood.
